RHS Students & Parents

As we plan for the last week of school here are a few things that will be helpful.

Last Week of School-Next week, May 18-21 is our last official day of school. Virtual learning will continue for underclassmen but please note the shortened week and textbook return info further in the document.

Students who have access to google classroom, student gmail, and other online resources will continue to find learning modules from their teachers available.

Students who need learning packets for this week should call today or Friday to request a packet. Packets will only be printed on Monday and will be available for pickup on Monday. Again, students should return work during textbook return so it is important that they use their time wisely.

Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior Textbook/Chromebook/Supply Return-On Wednesday, May 20th & Thursday, May 21st, we will hold a drive-thru textbook return opportunity. Students/Parents should drive through the school parking lot to return items to school. We will host the drive-through from 9:00-2:00 at the high school main office. Items that seniors should bring include textbooks, chromebooks (if we checked one out to you), library books, supplies that belong to the school (graphing calculators come to mind if you have a school owned one, choir tux/dresses), and other items that need to be returned. We also have items to give to students such as art projects, locker items, t-shirts from clubs, and other items left. Pick the time and day that works for you and we’ll look forward to seeing everyone either Wednesday or Thursday.

Graduation & Prom Update-We will make a decision on the June 14th graduation date on May 20th. We are watching the gathering restrictions and are waiting to see what comes out for the month of June. Our goal is to make graduation and prom as “normal” as we can. We’ll communicate our plan on May 20th. Thanks for you patience and understanding as we work through these issues.

Summer School-Information regarding summer school was sent out yesterday. Due to the current social distancing restrictions, summer school for June will be online only.  We are also in the process of planning to offer online courses and seated courses in July.  Please click on the link below to sign up for the June-only online courses. Also, please read through the information provided thoroughly.  Information regarding the July session of summer school will follow in the next few weeks.  https://bit.ly/RHS-OnlineSS-June2020

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call or email. We miss our students, hope they are doing well, and hope we are together again soon. Thanks for all you do to help with this process.
