MRS. LACIE KOLBE NAMED ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF ROLLA HIGH SCHOOL
The Rolla Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Lacie Kolbe as the new Assistant Principal of Rolla High School, effective July 1, 2024. Mrs. Kolbe will be assuming the position formerly held by Mrs. Sheri Norman, who is retiring from education at the end of June.
Mrs. Kolbe first became involved in education as a volunteer at her daughter’s elementary school. She worked as a school secretary and paraprofessional while seeking her education degree. Kolbe began her career in the Rolla school district in 2015 when she was hired as a paraprofessional at Rolla Middle School. She then moved to Rolla High School Special Education in 2016. She served in special education for seven years before moving to Salem R-80 to take on the high school assistant principal role.
Mrs. Kolbe has been in education for 19 years. She has an Associate of Arts degree in Education from OTC; a Bachelor of Arts in K-12 Special Education from Missouri State University; and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.
Mrs. Kolbe is married to her husband, James, an engineer at Archer-Elgin Engineering. They have two children (Camie Dietrich, married to Alex Dietrich, and James Kolbe, who is in 5th grade) and one grandchild (Magnolia Mae). In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the ball field and watching her son James compete in baseball, basketball, and rodeos. When asked for a comment on her upcoming move to Rolla High School, she said, “I am elated by the opportunity to serve Rolla High School's students, teachers, and staff. Thank you to the Rolla 31 Board of Education, administrators, and teachers for believing in my ability to serve this outstanding community. It is an honor to be back in Bulldog Nation!”
