November Promises to Be Busy at RHS
It’s hard to believe we’re already a few weeks into the second quarter with the end of the semester in sight. October was busy yet productive, and we’re proud of our students who have excelled in various fall activities as they conclude their seasons and prepare for winter sports. Best of luck to our football, soccer, and cross-country teams as they enter district competition.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the parents and guardians who attended our recent parent-teacher conferences. For those who were unable to attend, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers with any questions or concerns regarding their progress. Our teachers are happy to connect with you.
November promises to be a busy month at RHS, highlighted by our annual Veterans’ Day Assembly, where we honor those who have served our country and protected our freedoms. The assembly will be held on November 11th at 12 p.m. in the RHS Fieldhouse.
On November 12th, we’ll celebrate academic excellence at the CORE Honors Banquet, recognizing students starting the 2024-2025 school year with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher. We are grateful to CORE (Champions of Rolla Education) for sponsoring this annual event.
Additionally, at the end of the month, we’ll host a CORE Rewards Luncheon honoring 565 students with a GPA of 3.5 or above. We are fortunate to partner with the Rolla Lions Club, who generously sponsored this recognition to celebrate our students’ hard work and achievements.
On behalf of the entire Rolla High School faculty and staff, we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Corey Ray, Ed.D.
Principal

Family Information Series
Missouri Boys and Girls State
The Counseling Center is accepting nominations for Missouri Girls and Boys State. If you would like to nominate a junior for these summer programs, please email Mr. Rogers at zrogers@rolla31.org, and he will invite them to attend an informational meeting. Missouri Girls and Boys State is a wonderful leadership opportunity available to current juniors this summer for a week in June. More information can be found on their respective websites (https://www.moboysstate.org/about and http://www.missourigirlsstate.org/). Ideal candidates represent RHS with pride. This program is great for students who already have leadership experience, as well as those who lack that experience, but would likely grow as a result of their involvement.
Missouri Scholars Academy - Attention Sophomores
RHS would like to nominate at least two sophomores for the Missouri Scholars Academy. This 3-week summer program for 330 of Missouri’s gifted students takes place on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia from June 8- June 28, 2025. Only current sophomores can be considered for nomination. More information is available on their webpage: https://moscholars.missouri.edu/
