3.26.2025 Closure Update

Posted Date: 3/26/25 (10:00 PM)

Dear Rolla 31 Families,

The message below contains some general information as we prepare for students to return on Monday, March 31st. Principals of impacted buildings will be reaching out with specific details before the end of the week.

  • Food Service: Arrangements have been made for all students to have regular-menu hot breakfast and lunch. Meals for students at Wyman, Mark Twain, and Wyman Early Childhood (Greentree) will be transported from other kitchens in the district and served hot.

  • Transportation: Many of our bus routes district-wide have been impacted due to the change in location of Wyman Elementary (Blue’s Lake Facility). The Transportation Department will contact families beginning tomorrow, March 27th and through the weekend, with more information on time or route changes.

  • There will be no changes to arrival/dismissal procedures for Rolla Middle School 5th grade students. They will continue to ride their regular bus, walk, or use the car rider line at RMS. Students will eat breakfast at RMS, and then be shuttled by bus to RTC. Students will be transported back to RMS for lunch and for dismissal at the end of the school day.

  • We will directly communicate with Wyman Early Childhood (Greentree) families regarding arrival and dismissal information for parent drop off and bus schedule changes.

  • We are still working on connecting phone services at Wyman Elementary (Blue’s Lake) and Wyman Early Childhood (Greentree) and will communicate that information with families as soon as we have it.

  • Open House Dates: Mark Twain, Both RMS Locations, Wyman and Greentree are scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 4:30-6:30 pm. Families are invited to tour the facilities during this time.

If you have students in the district and have been displaced from your home due to the storm, please reach out to your school on Monday to update address and contact information if needed.

Please know that some flexibility may be required during these first few days due to the scope of these changes. Again, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we finalize details in preparation for students to return on Monday, March 31st.
