Homecoming Game Update

As you may be aware, Springfield Central was originally scheduled as our Homecoming football game match on October 17th. When Central canceled its varsity season, we scheduled Springfield Christian Lighthouse Academy for that date. We were informed late last week that Lighthouse had canceled due to varsity player injuries, leaving us without a team to play. In accordance with MSHSAA regulations and seeding procedures for district play, we will accept the forfeit win and have no options for a varsity football game on October 17th.

Our team has been working diligently to create an alternate plan for Homecoming 2025 in cooperation with RHS Student Leadership. The Homecoming schedule and details are as follows:

Thursday, October 16th: 6 pm on Rolla Street
All-District Homecoming Parade, Presented by RHS STUCO
“Under the Lanterns”

Friday, October 17th: 7 pm at the Lions Memorial Field (RHS Stadium) Free Admission
Homecoming Queen Coronation
Powder Puff Football
Fall Sports Recognition
Alumni Recognitions
Band & Cheer Performances

Saturday, October 18th:8 pm at the RHS Fieldhouse
RHS Homecoming Dance

Saturday, October 18th:8 pm CORE's Maroon & Grey Soiree

Our goal with this plan is to create a Homecoming celebration that brings together students, families, and the community while honoring long-standing traditions and involving as many student groups as possible. We explored every possible option to ensure the best experience for our students, and we are especially grateful for their input and collaboration in the process. While this situation has been challenging, it has also opened the door to new opportunities, and we look forward to celebrating Homecoming in meaningful and memorable ways.
