BULLDOG BYTES

February 2026

** From the Principal's Desk **

We are moving full steam ahead with the 2025–2026 course selection process for this year’s freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. This is a collaborative, building‑wide effort—our dedicated teachers and counselors are working together to guide students through their choices. Counselors will be meeting with students throughout February, so we encourage parents to take time to discuss course selections with their students.

Although recent cold weather makes it hard to imagine spring, field trips will be on the agenda for some students. We are deeply grateful to the Champions of Rolla Education (CORE) for supporting these opportunities. CORE-funded trips serve as enrichment and rewards, and their support also helps close gaps in student needs. Through CORE, we have purchased hygiene supplies, clothing, shoes, backpacks, and graduation gowns for students who cannot afford them. CORE is an essential partner in the education process at Rolla High School; for information on becoming a member or sponsor, please visit: https://rolla31.org/49975_3.

Despite three snow days this year, the district calendar remains unchanged. The last day of school for students is scheduled for May 21. Commencement for this year’s seniors will take place on May 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gale Bullman Multi‑Purpose Building.

Please note there will be no school on February 13 for a teacher professional development day, and no school on February 16 in observance of Presidents Day.

On behalf of Rolla High School, we wish you a fantastic February!

Warm wishes,

Corey Ray, Ed.D.
Principal
