Volunteers Needed

The Rolla Special Olympics Team is looking for Unified Partners. A Unified Partner is when we pair our athletes with high school buddies. These types of events are dedicated to promoting social inclusion and a way to build tolerance in schools. Training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

If you are interested in becoming a Unified Partner please stop by the A+ office, and pick up the form. If you have any other questions you can stop by the Counseling Center and see Mr Bridgeman.

Our track and Field event is at Waynesville HIgh School on April 10. We will return to school before the last bell. Lunch is provided.

I hope you will consider being a part of our team!

Mr. Bridgeman

SENIOR SECTION

Important Message from Dr. Kaelin

I just received an email from Going Merry notifying me that they will no longer be accepting applications for ANY scholarship beyond March 5th. All of their services will cease at that time.

What that means for you:
  1. The deadline for the final two local scholarships (Kathy McKay State Farm Insurance Scholarship & Herald Barnes/Rotary Club Scholarship) which were originally set to close on March 9th, will now close on March 4th.
  2. Any national or regional scholarship applications through Going Merry will need to be completed by March 5th at the latest.
  3. You will no longer be able to access your account beyond March 5th.

I am currently working to download all submitted applications and will be sharing them with those making the decision for each scholarship.

Please click the links to the McKay and Barnes Rotary applications above. Additional scholarships will continue to be posted in the "Other Scholarship Opportunities - 2026" Google sheet.

If you have any questions for Going Merry regarding this closing you can find the FAQs as well as contact information at:

I apologize for any inconvenience, but please know I am as blindsided as you are.
