BULLDOG BYTES

April 2026

** From the Principal's Desk **

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope everyone had an enjoyable spring break. It has been wonderful to have the students back in the building. April promises to be an exciting month, so please keep an eye on our daily announcements.

We are hosting our second annual Rolla Chamber of Commerce/Rolla High School Job Fair on April 8th in the Fieldhouse. This event provides employment opportunities for any student age 16 or older seeking summer work, as well as our graduating seniors who are not planning to pursue post-secondary education. As of March 31st, the Chamber of Commerce has recruited 30 area employers who will speak with our students and conduct on-site interviews for viable candidates. Dr. Kaelin met with our seniors before spring break and will be sending communications to seniors and their parents with details on how to participate. Students must sign up prior to the job fair to attend. Sophomores and juniors received a registration email with the sign-up link and deadline.

Our National Honor Society Spring Induction will take place on Thursday, April 9th. This year, 43 juniors have earned the privilege of being inducted into this prestigious organization in recognition of their academic excellence and community service. The ceremony has been primarily organized by NHS officers under the direction of Miss Mullen, and we look forward to the updated format.

Senior Awards Night will be held in the Rolla High School Performing Arts Center on April 23rd at 6 p.m. We will be awarding several thousand dollars in scholarships during this evening which is a testament to the hard work of our graduating seniors and the tremendous support from their parents and teachers. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our students, teachers, and community.

Warm regards,

Corey Ray, Ed.D.
Principal
Rolla High School

EOC Testing to Begin at RHS

End of Course (EOC) testing at Rolla High School will be starting on April 13, 2026, and concluding on May 1, 2026. Students are required by the state of Missouri to take an EOC exam after the courses of Algebra I, Biology I, English II, and US Government. This year, all students will be testing in the classroom setting with their regular teacher. The exception to this rule will be those students who took Algebra I at the junior high in the 8th grade. Those students will be required to take the Algebra II exam in the Lecture Hall.

Here is the planned schedule for when each test will be given:

Algebra I: April 27 - May 1 (Two sections)
Biology I:  April 21 - 24 (One section)
English II:  April 13 - 17 (Two sections)
Government:  April 21 - 24 (One section)
Algebra II:  April 28 - 29 (Two sections)

Here are some testing tips to remember:
  • Get a good night's sleep the night before.
  • Eat a good breakfast/lunch before your test.
  • Come to your site on time with a CHARGED CHROMEBOOK.
  • Do not rush...this is not a timed test.
  • Answer all questions thoughtfully and put forth your best Bulldog effort!

Direct any EOC questions to Mrs. Steelman or Dr. Grisham.
