BULLDOG BYTES

May 2026

** From the Principal's Desk **

Dear Families,

It’s hard to believe that May is already upon us! As we prepare for graduation and the end of the school year, things are moving at a rapid pace. Our calendar is filled with Advanced Placement testing, End of Course Exams from the Department of Education, and preparations for final exams.

RHS recently celebrated the senior awards ceremony, where students were awarded an impressive $2.4 million in scholarships for their post-secondary education. Additionally, our local community generously contributed over $572,000 in scholarships. You will not find a more supportive educational community than ours, and I assure you that the investment made in these students will yield significant returns.

The last day for seniors will be May 13, with an early dismissal at 12:30 PM. On that day, seniors will begin by returning their Chromebooks at 7:15 AM in the fieldhouse. It is important that all seniors bring their Chromebook, charging cord, and case for return. Those wishing to purchase their Chromebook may bring $25 on May 13. Students who purchased their Chromebook may pick it up from the RHS Counseling Center in June when they come to pick up their diploma in June. Following the return, seniors will practice the graduation lineup at approximately 8:00 AM. They will receive their first RHS Alumni shirt and have the chance to visit their respective elementary schools for a final farewell before heading to the Lions Club Park for some fun activities and lunch.

Graduation is scheduled for May 17 at 2:00 PM in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, with doors opening at 1 PM. Please note that attendees must have a graduation ticket for entry into the ceremony; forged tickets will not be accepted. An overflow location in the recreation center will broadcast the ceremony on a screen, and no tickets will be required for this area, which is air-conditioned.

I am looking forward to a fantastic conclusion to the year. Please pay close attention to the daily announcements for upcoming events, and feel free to call my office with any questions.

Sincerely,

Corey Ray, Ed.D.
